SUGGESTION AND ITS MANIFESTATIONS IN THE MODERN INFORMATION SPACE OF THE STATE

Abstract

The given article attempts to provide an analytical review of the modern Ukrainian information space concerning influence on a human by verbal means, using of which during communication can result in obtaining the desirable. In particular, our attention focuses on such a diverse phenomenon as suggestion. It is noted that this issue is becoming increasingly important nowadays. The general purpose of research in this direction is a systematic analysis of authorities’ discourse through the prism of communicative strategies of the power, which help to establish a certain order in society. Such an analysis is needed to gain a deeper understanding of state-building processes, to acquire the ability to recognize manipulative technologies in order to prevent their undesirable manifestations and to be able to apply appropriate counteraction tools timely. As a result, it was found out that some linguistic expressions that fill the Ukrainian information space could be interpreted as suggestive. It is noted that suggestive technologies are usually used to obtain a positive (desired) result. An assumption is made about the possibility of different interpretations for suggestive technologies of influence: either to explain their use by obtaining the necessary processes for the development of the state, or to consider them as manipulation and suggestion. In the context of protecting the information space of the state, the importance and necessity to pay more attention to the namely possible negative consequences of such influence are emphasized. In addition, it is noted that the problem of further development of our state is a complex, multifactorial and complex structured issue, which requires an innovative approach to the formation and implementation of public policy in all directions, branches and spheres, able to adequately respond to challenges and to provide the fulfilment of requirements that arise for Ukraine in a globalized world.
