IMPROVEMENT OF THE MECHANISM OF INFORMATION OPENING OF PUBLIC AUTHORITIES ACTIVITIES IN UKRAINE

Abstract

In the article notes that, given the active development of the information society, the problem of the mechanism of information transparency in the activities of public authorities of Ukraine is becoming increasingly important.

It has been determined that in modern society the issues of introducing transparency and openness mechanisms of public authorities as effective tools to combat corruption are gaining wide popularity. The quality of information on official websites, online platforms and the free access of citizens to information on the activities of public authorities is one of the main factors of openness.

Based on the analysis of the concept of "public administration mechanism", the author presents the concept of "mechanism of information transparency of public authorities."

It is proposed to understand the mechanism of information openness of public authorities as a set of means for organizing management processes in public authorities, reflecting the stable interdependencies and interactions between the above bodies and the public in order to comprehensively cover their activities in order to fulfill the goals (tasks) of public administration in accordance with their legal status.

The problems of the mechanism of information openness of public authorities are analyzed.

Directions of solving this issue are proposed, the implementation of which will make the mechanism of information transparency of public authorities in Ukraine more effective, which in turn will increase the level of public trust in the above authority. It is proposed to adopt a special law that would introduce certainty in the interpretation of the term “information openness”, define the mechanism and regulate the issues of the activities of public authorities in the direction of ensuring transparency and openness.
