THEORETICAL AND APPLIED ASPECTS OF THE FORMATION OF ECOLOGICAL THINKING OF SOCIETY IN THE CONDITIONS OF THE CRISES OF MODERNITY

Abstract

The article analyses the phenomenon of ecological culture through the prism of the development of modern problematic Ukrainian society. It is claimed that the formation of ecological culture is becoming an urgent problem of state formation and one of the areas of formation of the humanitarian policy of the state. Modern humanity is increasingly exposed to emergencies that need to be responded to promptly and professionally. The main areas of activity to which the environmental policy of the state should be directed are determined: legal regulation, where the norms of the law should be coordinated with the current state of the environment, economic regulation and economic stimulation of the rational use of natural resources, information and innovation and scientific and technological measures with the aim of environmental protection, the formation of ideological foundations to increase the level of human consciousness. It has been substantiated that ecological thinking as a component of eco-culture is a universal human value, which should become the basic basis for the development of society. The implementation of this value is seen in activities of a professional and educational nature among the population. We also mentioned the resource potential of the newly created territorial communities, which was formed in Ukraine after the decentralisation reform. After all, taking into account the local peculiarities of certain territories, the creation and maintenance of nature protection facilities, the ability to build waste disposal plants on an equal footing with international partners is now within the competence of local authorities. The article emphasises the importance of approving greening as a necessity of connection and interdependence of any actions taking into account environmental requirements. The authors also identified the place of the modern management and educational elite in the formation of environmental policy of the state and identified its main components, directions and implementation mechanisms for working with the population. It is stated that the society faces the task of an immediate professionally thought-out approach to the process of greening, which requires the following actions: restructuring of the economy, industries and regions; professional re-profiling of the economy; reduction of needs in economically negative types of products and services; replacement of environmentally negative technological processes.
